Tenerife Trip.

Aquídejamos el reportaje del viaje que hicieron los ingleses Robbo, Nikki Croft & The Make Crew por Tenerife.

You know when a trip just works out perfect in every aspect; well this was one for me….

The trip began properly when Myself, Orlando, Robbo, George Marshall and The Count arrived at Rubio’s house. We soon discovered that his brother and mother lived there as well which meant Rubio had given up his bedroom for us! Which was cool as hell! Rubio also had the smallest, most hyperactive dog in the world named Melar, but I decided to call her Chi-Chi! By the end of the week Rubio and his whole family were calling her Chi-Chi too. Ha-Ha.

We awoke on day 1 unaware of our surroundings as it was dark when we arrived, headed towards the terrace of the house to overlook one of the most amazing Spanish views.

There was no English-esq. object in sight, which to me was amazing.

The north of Tenerife was more my scene than the tourist south! After George managed to use what Spanish vocabulary he had to interact with Rubio we eventually got to go to the first spot of the trip, which was immense!! the best spot I have ever rode! It can only be described as the perfect spot, a huge hole in the floor with concrete lumps everywhere that act like hips, all corners were curved and all sides had a possible wall ride on it.

Robbo shut it down, Count topped up his tan, and Rubio showed us how to ride a bike properly! (one underrated rider I tell ya!) Everything about this spot was sick.

The next spot was another gem, an empty pool with a slight tranny, more like a vertical flatbank (haha), it looked so much easier to ride than it was. Somehow Robbo rode it with ease.

As the day came to an end the locals took us to another spot, which again was crazy! Flatbanks with tranny in them and a subbox on top.

A mint session was had by all.

Rubio has trails bang next to his house so most nights we went up there for a couple 40oz and a bonfire.

The next couple of Days was epic. Going to the most unbelievable spots and getting to ride them without any bother. One day we went to this spot that was a 180 degree curved wall with a steep ass flatbank next to it.

It was real fun to ride.

It was hard to take in all the spots and the scenery at the same time, So George would always pull over for us to have a look around. One time we found an abandoned church with nothing inside it apart from graffiti.

I can’t remember where the spot was but Robbo did a crazy gap from the top of a set of stairs step-down into a bank that was at a weird angle and real far away, crazy fool.

As it was warm and this was a holiday it would be stupid not to go to the beach for a day. Rubio said he knew a good spot, and was definitely what I expected. After overlooking a cliff edge whilst trapped in a 9seat rent a van barely moving because the corners were so tight, and after walking through what looked like the entrance to Narnia, and hiking down the side of a cliff with lizards rushing around everywhere we finally arrived at the place.

It had black volcanic sand and waves about 7foot high that would throw you around as if you were nothing.

This at times was slightly worrying.

The only thing Robbo was scared of on this trip was getting in this sea!

Each day from the start off the trip George would go on about the Volcano that was here. You could see it from anywhere, the peak of it creeping out the clouds. So the last day when no more riding was to be had we headed up the mountain. I’m not sure how high it was but I know we drove from blue skies and it being real warm into clouds where we couldn’t see any further than 40feet away and it was freezing.

Getting past the clouds was wild.

With me and Robbo the only people with brakes on the trip we thought it would be a good idea to hill bomb the mountain and what a good idea it was! we spent about 30/40mins hardly pedaling just going down a hill! To be completely honest it was the most fun I have had on a bike in so long. Looking at the sea whilst being real high up and going fast as fuck on my BMX, what more could you ask for?

The last night in Tenerife was back to the trails for a BBQ and bonfire.

All the locals came up to hang out with us, which was cool.

Lots of weird drinks were drank and I saw The Count eat 14 hot dogs in one cob!!

BMX, Mates, Amazing spots, meeting new people, seeing something new every time you turn around, BBQs and Bonfires is what every trip should have!! Get on that plane and don’t look back!!

Thanks to Rubio for letting us stop at his and George for being able to drive real good and keeping us alive hahahahaha!
